Thanks for your prayers for our trip. We had an uneventful day traveling (just the way we like it).
Here we just got through customs and were so excited that only one of our team got the red light (meaning that they were then going to search her and all her bags). As she went to throw her very heavy bag of donations up on the X-ray machine, the guard saw her struggling a little and just waived her on. This was a HUGE blessing because in the past we've had to pay import taxes on donations that we've brought into the country. We had been praying hard that this wouldn't be a problem this year, praise God for His mercies.
"No, I think we'll be alright and don't need to gas up". Not sure why I said that, when I had no idea about the vehicle and it's gas mileage capacities that I was driving from the Airport to the hotel!
Well, another answered prayer! We made it to the gas station and there were no problems.
When we finally got to the hotel, there was excitement, anticipation and exhaustion as we sat listening to the rundown as to safety rules, how the week will work and got our room assignments.
All in all it was a great day with many prayers answered.
We've just begun and we're all so excited to see what God will do in our lives and in the lives of the people we interact with. Please continue your prayers for our group.
This is gonna be AWESOME!
