A few of our team members went to a recovery home for men where Darrin spoke about his "experience, strength and hope" to 6 men that were in the program. One of the staff at Hogar de Amor was able to translate for him. Darrin was able to bring his grandson BR and let him hear his story which meant a lot to Darrin, the men there and BR.
Then on the drive to another home for breakfast, BR gave the devotional where he gave us God's phone number as Jeremiah 33:3. There we had a delicious breakfast and even had cake for "breakfast dessert" to celebrate all of the birthdays our team had this week.
Our next step was to go to the adolescent house and paint a few rooms.
That led to a ton of paint NOT getting on the walls. Here we're highlighting the spots WE were painted.
They were actually a big help and we all had so much fun!
While some were painting, others were sewing. There are even bruises on some knees to prove how hard tile can be.
Next was lunch at yet another home. There was food, fun and games.
Afterwards, we spent an hour hiding 1,000 Easter Eggs for 90 of the kids.
The days here are full of a lot of new experiences, new relationships and hard work.
We would appreciate any and all prayers that you would send our way for strength, team unity and continued health.
Bless you all for your kindness to others.
