Our recipe for a great second day of service:
Prepare right by starting the day with morning devotionals.
Get the wiggles out with a few rousing games of kickball with some very energetic kiddos.
Add a few crafts to get the creative juices flowing.
A few classroom games will definitely add color to everybody's day (and hands!).
And then get to work! Today we finished all of the prep on the inside of the new house and started on the outside.
And we got lots of help with the curtains from some new friends and finished curtains for all 4 upstairs bedrooms of Casa Formosa today.
And we finished off our day getting our own wiggles out at the park while dinner was being made.
(this is a playground toy, not a medieval torture device! Ok, maybe it's both)
We sat in the street (literally!) and enjoyed the best tacos around.
And ended with respados - all agreeing that Mexican snow cones are the best ever!
Please pray for continued positive and enthusiastic energy tomorrow. Wednesday tends to be a less-energetic day as the newness of the trip wears off and the fatigue builds. Pray that we would individually take good care of ourselves and our bodies, have extra grace for each other, and continue with the hard and fruitful work of our first few days
Oh, I am so envious. Sounds exhausting and wonderful!
