Thursday: what a fun day :)

Three Amigos, in Mexico, on a Thursday

Hey homies its your girls Kalista, Jess, and Nick reporting live from Colima, Mexico. Lets talk about today...

First on the agenda we had breakfast (mmm delicioso), went to the main house of the orphanage, and us three amigos gave a little devotional. We read from Lamentations 3:18-24 and talked about thanking God for the good in our lives and trusting God with the hard things. The kids were lined up waiting to start the day. In crafts, we took poloroid photos (they love photos) and made little stands to hold the pictures in. For sports we played soccer and in music we sang some songs followed by killer frog. After stations our group left to continue painting Lionel (one of the houses). We are getting closer to finishing it up as we have one more wall and a few touch ups to do tomorrow. Lots of breaks were taken as we were all in the sun and there was a herd of cows distracting us. We finished up early for the day and went to lunch at the older boys house.

After lunch, we got in our new friend Jupiter's vans and headed on the road to the volcano. We all fell asleep in the van ride over so who knows how long it actually took, but we got there soon enough. We went to their popular coffee shop and learned how to flush a toilet without flushing it (ask us for how this worked). From there, we started to hike up to an avocado farm with a good view of the volcano close by. Jupiter, our very funny tour guide, told us to "shush" and started a bird call, moments later a bird flew in onto the branch above us and had a conversation with him. We continued walking through the trees into a beautiful landscape view! On the way down we had a couple falls, sorry Kalista and Lily! We also had a surprise visit of so many doggies!!

Dinner... We went to Jupiter's coffee shop in town where he served us
burritos and we bought delicious coffees. After we finished eating we played "Bean Boozled" with the older girls from Lionel (yuck). Many laughs were shared over nasty beans and a quality conversation. It was time to go, the ride home was an adventure. Our van started airdropping some muy bien photos and got everyone involved and learned some new things about each other. It was sadly time to go but the fun never ends. Once back at the hotel with just our group Nick decided to take a shower. Mike runs out "Guys, Nick is hard core singing in the shower lets go join him in singing." So we pulled an "Elf" and stood outside his window singing Baby its Cold Outside to him. He enjoyed our addition to his music. The night ended with stale popcorn, wordle, and now here we are writing for you :) Thanks for following along!
