This morning we had a market breakfast, the youth group did a Bible study led by Nick, and Trinity shared a devotional for the day. Then we went straight to the orphanage where we had a successful first day of serving. We had people setting up a chain link fence, fixing bus seats, sewing, playing with kids, and repainting buildings. Casa Golondrinas provided us with some delicious pezole for lunch, which fueled us to hang out with the kids playing soccer and volleyball, learning about music, and doing crafts. After lots of time getting to know the kids, we went back to cool of in the pool and had Mexican pizza and tacos for dinner.
